Distorted Way of Thinking
Man is indeed in constant search for happiness. In this world to gain economically is the driving force of man in his own life. It is not wrong if one finds happiness in material gain. Neither it is wrong to profit from one's hard work. Life has a purpose and we all know that. It is in defining our purpose in life we shall reap a certain amount of happiness. It cannot be denied that material gain is elemental to human happiness. Our distorted way of thinking has deceived us to see reality as it is. We cannot distort reality, and we do we try to live in the Utopian ideals that never has been a reality for human kind. Living in the Utopian ideals that never has been a reality is a consolation of man to his suffering and existential frustration. We deceive ourselves over and over again by believing in the Utopian ideals of happiness, which is usually the subject of discourse in many religions today.

On Authentic Happiness
Our search for the meaning and purpose of life is inevitable. It is this meaning and this purpose in life that will keep us on the right track. If we fail in this search for the meaning and purpose of our lives, we will end up not getting the fulfillment in life that will give one his authentic happiness. This search for the meaning and purpose in life can be found in giving up one's life to others. It is the service and the sacrifices we have made so that others may live meaningfully.

It is how we process our thoughts which would have lasting effects on our emotions
Whatever it is that we think is a precursor to our state of emotional processes. It can be said that sadness will not be felt unless it is dependent upon our thought processes. The mind is so powerful to influence almost everything most especially our emotional processes. Our interpretation of the world whether it be positive or negative can drastically influence our emotional processes for good or for evil.

On Logotherapy
Victor Frankl said, as therapist we must assume the role of an ophthalmologist to our patient instead of assuming the role of a painter. As an ophthalmologist we help the client see the world in his own eyes, and not to present the world as the painter presents it in his paintings.

Towards Perfection and Unhappiness
It is the desire of man towards perfection which could lead to unhappiness. Based on Cognitive Theory, our sense of absolutism or the desire towards perfectionism is the cause of our unhappiness. It is to want what one cannot have such as a perfect family, a perfect relationship, and be successful in all the desire of man's undertakings. But we all know life is not simple as we think it is. Even if we desire in simplicity, so as there is an absence of privation, drudgery, and complexity, we desire a paradise, which no one has ever lived. If life cannot be perfected what we can do is to see life as it is. To open our eyes to what is near, because most of the time we tend to see those that afar, but we have failed to see what just there under our nose.
To be loved and be loved in returned!
According to Sigmund Freud, if we are to look for a healing in our wounded past we must turn to love the right person who can love us in return. Only in this way we can heal ourselves once again of our wounded unconscious past. This will help us to forgive authentically.
On Cognitive Theory
Cognitive theory states that whatever it is that we perceive is the outcome of our conceiving. Thus the meaning we attribute to the act of perceiving is always dependent upon the quality of the human mind. This can be expressed hypothetically in the form that the higher the quality of the human mind the higher is the ability to conceive in a creative way. This ability to think and to become optimistic in a creative way is always dependent upon the quality of its content.
On Positive Psychology
According to Martin Seligman, people who believe they are in full control of their lives tend to be more well adjusted and happier. Once we gain control of our lives, we stop blaming external others, but instead we begin to realize that only by becoming reasonable we gain the happiness that are achievable within our practical means.

On Failed Relationship
According to Maslow, It is the love and belongingness need, which is the turmoil of life. Why is it so? Because at this point in our lives we might have experienced the love and rejection of other people. It is the desire of man to maintain in whatever means possible this love that would never end. There is love anxiety of fearing to lose the very one we love so dearly. Thus failing to maintain this relationship will cause emotional agitation and life dissatisfaction.

Happiness and Frustration
We desire to have Happiness, but we get so frustrated.
Whenever we desire to have whatever it is that cannot have we feel so frustrated. This frustration will cause so much of the negative in us. It is like cutting wounds into our own selves. Our frustration is not so bad at all. It gives a sense of control to accept the realities of life. We cannot always get what we want even we wanted to. We cannot get all the luxury this world has to offer, and even if we get we would still get the frustration from the other significant aspects of life in love and failed relationship. We desire to have Happiness, but we get so frustrated.Inception (Three-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy)
